StartArt Residency is a fully equipped space where facilitators, teachers and organizations can host retreats without the complexity of building everything from scratch. Whether it’s your first retreat or your fortieth, our team is here to help you organize, support, and customize your experience from start to finish.

When you book StartArt, you’ll have our entire top floor exclusively for your group. 🌿 Retreat plans can include accommodation, three meals per day, access to all workshop and activity spaces, plus basic on-site support from our team. We also provide a projector, TV, printer, and scanner for trainings, presentations, workshops, or creative sessions.

Do I take the financial risk on registration, or do you?+

At StartArt, retreat hosts are responsible for filling their retreat spots. We support you with visibility, content collaboration, and promotion through our channels, but ticket sales and participant management stay under your direction. We believe the best retreats happen when hosts bring their own aligned community and vision.

Can I book a day retreat without accommodation?+

Yes 🌿 We host one-day retreats, workshops, and private group experiences at StartArt without overnight stay. Perfect for groups, teams, creatives, or wellness gatherings looking to enjoy nature, river & pool access, shared meals, and customized activities. Contact us to plan your experience ✨

Can I bring my own facilitators / chef / DJ / bodyworker?+

Absolutely. StartArt was built for creative freedom and collaboration. You're welcome to bring your own team, facilitators, artists, musicians, chefs, wellness practitioners, or collaborators to shape the experience exactly as you imagine it.

How far in advance should I book?+

We recommend booking at least 2–6 months in advance, especially for spring and summer dates. Some weekends fill quickly because we intentionally keep the space intimate and selective.

What about insurance and liability?+

Hosts are responsible for their own retreat insurance and participant liability coverage. We also recommend all guests have personal travel insurance. Before your retreat, we'll guide you through the agreements and practical details to ensure everything is clear and safe for everyone involved.

Can the food be customised?+

Yes 🌿 We can adapt meals for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary needs. Food at StartArt is about nourishment, community, and shared moments around the table. If you have a specific culinary vision, we're happy to explore it together.

Is there a minimum stay?+

Most hosted retreats at StartArt are a minimum of 2 nights to allow enough time for participants to fully disconnect, connect, and immerse themselves in the experience.

How do you co-market my retreat?+

We love helping great retreats reach the right people. Depending on the collaboration, we can support with: social media promotion, collaborative content creation, professional photo/video opportunities, newsletter features, and exposure through the StartArt community and network. The most successful retreats usually happen when both sides actively co-create the marketing together.

What if a participant has a medical issue mid-retreat?+

Participant wellbeing is very important to us. Hosts are responsible for collecting participant health information and emergency contacts before arrival. In case of a medical situation, we assist with local emergency services and help coordinate the necessary support as quickly as possible. We also recommend all retreat participants have valid travel and health insurance.
